Gas and Oil Servicing
Annual servicing of your boiler gives you the best chance of a smooth trouble free winter. We provide a reminder service to save you remembering. The annual service will include:
- Cleaning the combustion chamber.
- Replacing the nozzle
- Checking and cleaning the photocell
- Cleaning the fan impeller
- Testing the burner settings using an electronic analyser. All checks are made to manufacturers spec
- Checking the oil filter and tank
Both NAT GAS & LPG gas fired boilers are catered for. Breakdowns are attended to within 24hrs or less in most cases. Any parts can be ordered for next day delivery from our dedicated supplier. We carry gaskets for service requirements and can offer a complete landlords check which has servicing included in the price. Carbon monoxide detectors are recommended where open flued appliances are fitted. Additional flue and ventillation checks can be performed for added peace of mind.
Oil Tank Removal
We offer an oil tank removal and replacement service should your old tank need replacing. Tanks can be checked during servicing.
Many sight gauges can become dirty and unreadable. These can also be replaced on a service as they are routinely carried as a stock item on the van.
All sitings of tanks will comply with current OFTEC regulations.
Bunded tanks are regularly used where they are sited within 10 meters of controlled water. But! not all tanks are required to be bunded.
Landlord Certificate
We can provide landlord certificates at a competitive price. The check includes a service of the boiler, fire or hob. The price includes up to two appliances and a small charge for any further appliances.
Power Flushing
Powerflushing is regularly done by us at Heatsource Boilers before any installation f gas or oil boiler. Not only will powerflushing prevent sludge from entering the new boiler but the radiators and pipework will have a new lease of life.
By cleaning the system with a powerflush machine the water in the radiators is allowed to transfer the heat to the room a lot quicker. We also powerflush to clean systems even when the boiler is in good working order.
By doing this, system noise i.e. kettling is reduced and less fuel is used due to the faster rate of heat transfer as mentioned above. All chemicals used with the machine are bio-degradable and will not attack the metal of either the radiators or boiler.
Magnetic Fuel Savers
Rubbish, absolute rubbish I hear you cry! Well after selling over 200 fuel savers and a lot of those were to sceptics. It’s pleasing to have such positive feedback from my customers. Time and time again customers are telling me how they still have oil in their tanks when it should be lower. I myself have not only one on my boiler but one on my gas cooker. With this, I get an extra 2 weeks from my LPG bottle. The magnetic fuel savers work by aligning the ions in the fuel. This causes the fuel to burn hotter. The increased temperature means the boiler reaches temperature sooner and stays off for longer. This cuts the fuel bill and also reduces emissions.
The magnet requires no cutting of pipework and can be removed and taken with you should you move house or are living in rented accommodation. All magnets come with 12 months guarantee, if you are not happy with the unit you will receive a full refund.
